Further Investment from PAB to Meet Increasing Customer Orders

To meet the continuous growing requirements of the business, last month PAB took delivery of a new 300 ton hydraulic press from Worcester Presses in Stourbridge. JH Kemp were sub-contracted to manage the logistics and move the press into position.

Existing capacity has been doubled, which not only meets existing demand but allows for further expansion when required. The size of the press bed (2.2 x 1.3m) allows PAB to consider larger components than had previously been possible.

“We now have two hydraulic presses that are running on 3 daily shifts for 5 and a half days a week” said CEO Mark Brazier. “Due to our expanding order book we were experiencing a squeeze on the capacity of our 500 ton press. This new press allows us to meet existing demand while giving us room for further growth.”

“Worcester Presses were very easy to work with and hit the tight deadline that we gave them.” The lead time for the press was 4 months from order to installation, and training was given to six operatives.

“A further boost for the company, and for the city, is that our expansion has created two new jobs, and both of these new employees have been fully trained in the operation of the press” added Mark.
